Malachi 3 Foundation

The Foundation was founded in 2003 and has been making grants since 2006. Malachi 3 represents God’s promises to bless those who “bring the whole tithe into the storehouse”. We believe the funds provided to the Foundation are a specific blessing from God and therefore reflect this blessing through the Foundation’s name and our granting activity.

Our Mission is to:

Support Christian faith based organizations, including, but not limited to, missions and churches;
Teach and communicate Biblical principles; and
Help those in greatest need and provide opportunity for those with talent and determination.

Malachi 3:10-11
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. “Test me in this” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.” “I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit” says the Lord Almighty.

Grant Criteria

Malachi 3 Foundation will support programs that:

Further the mission of the Foundation;
Leverage future impact on the organization and community, and
Are creative, innovative, and efficient.

Grants may be used for Operating Expenses, Capital Expenses and/or Programs and Projects.
For the 2013 Grant Cycle, grant requests will be considered in amounts of:

Minimum Grant: $10,000
Maximum Grant: $20,000

Single-year grants are preferred. Multi-year grants may be permitted, but should not exceed three years.

Applicants for multi-year grants may be required to demonstrate appropriate use of the grant proceeds and attainment of previously agreed to benchmarks or performance goals after the first or subsequent years, before further installments are paid.

Single-year grants may not be renewed after the third consecutive year, unless there is a one-year break, after which the grantee may resubmit for consideration.

Grantees must sign a grant agreement, which sets forth the terms and conditions of the grant. Grantees shall be required to submit a report to the Foundation within twelve months of receipt of the Grant which provides an update on the status and progress of the project or program for which the Grant was given.

Unless otherwise authorized, Applicant must be a public charity, organized under IRC sec. 501(c) (3), and qualified under IRC sec. 170(b) (1) (a).

Although the Foundation will consider assisting start up organizations, funding may not be requested for organization or start up expenses.

Letter of Inquiry

We are no longer accepting Letters of Inquiry for the 2012 Grant Cycle. The open period for submitting LOIs for 2013 will begin beginning of June.
